Microsoft corp.’s search engine Bing has feathered Nepal on its background, today. In photo, there is a home above the clouds. Background photo was taken at Tharepati, which lies at the Helambu trekking circuit. I’ve found one similar photo in photo sharing site Flickr. According to Flickr, Whit Richardson has taken this photo at Therapati on December 2, 2009 using a Canon PowerShot G11. In Flickr, he wrote “A lodge at sunset above the clouds on the Helambu circuit trek in Nepal. Lodge above the clouds at Tharepati at sunset along the Helambu trekking circuit, Nepal”. Lujendra Ojha, a 21 year old space scientist originally from Kathmandu, Nepal has spotted signs of possible saltwater flow on Mars. Discovery was announced at NASA, the space agency’s headquarters in Washington on 4th August. Ojha’s recently published study in the Science journal suggests that there is liquid water during warmer seasons on Mars. “Ojha hasn't cracked those mysteries yet, but he did discover something else otherworldly: possible flows of saltwater on Mars”, reports CNN. The Mars discovery was an independent project of Lujendra Ojha. An undergraduate interne Ojha has done this research under the supervision of Professor Alfred McEwen, a lead co-author of the Science journal, in collaboration with University of Arizona researcher Colin Dundas. "When I first saw them, I had no idea what it was. I just thought it was a streak made by dust or something similar. The speakers—respected and recognized artists, entrepreneurs, and social activists—will present their world-changing ideas during brief talks and presentations. This TEDx Kathmandu event is the first event of its kind happening in Nepal, after already having been organised in over 800 cities in 60 countries. A total of Nine (9)  speakers will be speaking at the event. In addition, two 15-minute videos from TED events from other parts of the world will be screened during the event. The program aims to inspire everyone in the audience, chosen through application, and everyone else watching the video of the event, to be posted online.
